Hey, I'm Jay Clouse. 👋
I spend most of my time building Creator Science, a media company serving professional creators. If you want my full bio, you can find that down below.
This is my personal blog.
This blog is a public journal documenting my pursuit of a full life.
My whole life, I've been focused on achievement. From high school sports to starting companies, I've always been chasing something.
My ambition has served me well – I'm used to being the youngest (and usually the dumbest) person in the room!
But as I've gotten older...I've realized that my view of ambition is very narrow.
My ambition has been selfish and career-oriented.
That career ambition is often at odds with my priorities of being a great husband, friend, son, and (soon-to-be) father.
Many of the very people I've admired for their career achievements lead lives I don't want for myself. In the pursuit of career success, they've made sacrifices that I'm unwilling to make.
So I'm redefining what ambition and success mean to me.
I no longer believe that happiness is found through status and achievement...
So to find new answers...I'm asking new questions.
Questions like:
- What do I really want?
- So what does holistic success look like?
- What sacrifices am I unwilling to make?
This blog is my public journal dedicated to finding, documenting, and answering powerful questions that have changed my perspective (and hopefully change yours too).
You're invited to join me.
